Education:
- Bachelor''s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
Materials Buyer Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to analyze data, make strategic decisions, and work well in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite
- ERP experience in SAP / Oracle
Materials Buyer Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials, components, and equipment needed for service operations
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing for the best terms
- Maintain inventory levels to meet demands while minimizing excess stock
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor inventory trends and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks
