Buyer - Integrated Talent Strategies

ITS has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturer that is seeking a Buyer. The ideal candidate will focus on negotiating optimal pricing and terms, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, and aligning with production schedules to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Hybrid Position (1-2 days onsite a week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and manage RFQs, working with cross-functional teams to align with planning and present data to leadership.
• Select suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and delivery performance, ensuring alignment with business and customer needs.
• Analyze supplier quotes and product specifications, preparing detailed reports for management review.
• Lead supplier negotiations, leveraging cost insights and industry forecasts to secure favorable terms.
• Manage blanket purchase orders (BPOs) and adjust procurement processes for optimal performance.
• Oversee critical tooling and fixture procurement to support timely, cost-effective production.
• Drive annual price reduction (APR) initiatives and resolve supplier quality or delivery issues.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) efforts.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships while exploring new partnerships.
• Conduct supplier audits with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and present reports on purchasing performance, including savings and minority supplier participation.
• Support diversity initiatives by fostering partnerships with minority-owned businesses.
• Perform other relevant duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
