Job Description: We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist with experience in metal manufacturing and job shop settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ordering materials, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple responsibilities and work closely with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order materials and manage inventory, including looking up material codes in the system.
• Check lead times and delivery schedules to ensure timely shipments.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Work with subcontractors to coordinate material needs and deliveries.
• Utilize JobBoss software for all accounting, inventory, supplies, and timesheets.
• Collaborate with a small office team, stepping in to assist with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment, specifically in metal manufacturing.
• Familiarity with JobBoss software or similar systems (training will be provided).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
