JOB SUMMARY:
As a Bypass (BP) Operator you will support the team by working in our Bypass Area. The Bypass is responsible for the production of domestic and international milk replacer products. Bypass Operators work on material cut-in, bagging, stacking finished product, weighing, mixing, labeling, packaging small batch items (including specialty orders), and creating partials and premixes. You will learn the operations and housekeeping requirements expected of each station. Attention to detail is imperative in this role to ensure all product is made conforming to the quality standards set in place. Teamwork and versatility are crucial for success in this role. Daily housekeeping, equipment sanitation and confined space cleaning inside equipment is a requirement of this position. You will be interacting with and performing frequent machine adjustments and minor maintenance tasks during your shift. As a BP Operator you will be monitored by the Production Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety and Housekeeping requirements are met daily.
SHIFT: 5:00am - 1:30pm (Monday - Friday)
PAY: $22.87
Sign on Bonus:$1,000 - $500 paid after 30 days of employment. 2nd $500 paid after 6 months of employment.
Required Experience and Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read and write in English
- Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and records keeping
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Maintain a clean & safe environment
- Age: 18 years or older
- Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one's co-workers at all times without exception
- Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision

Essential Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, up to 55 pounds
- Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn pivot
- Stand for long periods of time
- Good sense of balance
- Good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to work in a dusty environment
- Work in confined spaces during cleaning
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on season 32-110 degrees
- Ability to learn all operating equipment and duties
- Perform daily stretching exercises
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime

Time Demands:
- On occasion, business demands may require some employees to work overtime.
- When overtime is required, employees are expected to work extra hours as required to meet business needs - this is a requirement of this position.
