What will a C-Level Technician do?
- Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
- Perform oil changes to manufacturer specifications.
- Top off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid.
- Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
- Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
- Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries.
- Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
- Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues.
- Creating detailed service reports based on inspection findings and document them for customer review.
- Verify completed maintenance and/or repairs prior to releasing the vehicle to the customer.
- Complete continuing education program as directed by the company.
- Maintains compliance with all OSHA safety standards and procedures.
- Model and demonstrate ClearShift Core Values in all aspects of the role.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What makes someone a great fit for the role?
- At least two years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
- ASE certification a plus
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Computer and smartphone skills.
