Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The OccupationalTherapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment upon physicianreferral to a patient population consisting of varying diagnosis. The Occupational Therapist will assess,identify and treat all areas of deficits impacting self care, functionalmobility, upper extremity function, behavior, cognition and perception and theability to function in their lifes role. The Occupational Therapist provides instruction and education to thepatient/caregiver to promote the safe execution of the facilitatory techniquestaught.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Desired:

One year experience in acute care,extended care, rehabilitation, mental health or outpatient setting

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Current Occupational Therapy license from the State ofCalifornia or has been granted a limited permit from the State ofCalifornia

Current CPR recognition

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstratetechnical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills andsensitivity for the patient and family. Clinical skills and knowledge to successfully achieve desired outcomesin assigned patients. Ability to providetreatment to address the practical and realistic needs and goals of thepatient.
