Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in crafting high-quality cabinets, with an eye for precision and a passion for woodworking. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of custom and production projects, from residential kitchens to commercial installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood or wood substitutes for cabinet construction.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Select and source appropriate materials for projects, ensuring top-notch quality.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, such as saws, routers, and sanders.
- Install cabinetry in client homes or commercial spaces, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to meet project timelines.
- Finish cabinets with staining, sealing, and painting as needed.
- Repair or modify existing cabinets when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cabinet maker or in a similar woodworking role.
- Proficiency with woodworking tools, machinery, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in custom cabinetry or specialized woodworking.
- Knowledge of various finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and CAD software is a plus.
- Formal training in carpentry or woodworking (trade school or apprenticeship).
