MUST:
Experienced Cabling Technician
Eligible for Public Trust
2+ years of professional experience with cabling
Experience planning network installations by using work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site
Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing copper and fiber optic cables
Must have knowledge of basic computer skills
Strong analytical thinker
Demonstrate good professional communication skills both written and verbal
Must be knowledgeable in codes, industry standards and best practices.
Good documentation skills
Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment
Must be able to carry 40lbs of cable and navigate smaller crawl space areas as well as use ladders

DUTIES:
Ideal candidate will help with support various projects across multiple offices and help support various network systems, cable pathway systems, fire stop systems, and potentially other various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, coax, and fiber optic
Cable installation includes: placement, termination, testing, labeling and documentation.
Follow plans for network installations by using work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site
Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing copper and fiber optic cables
Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications
Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions
Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal requirements
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
