About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CAD Design Manager with a strong background working with Inventor software. The CAD Design Manager will have overall responsibility for the mechanical design drawing creation. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will build and maintain a data driven CAD program for the design and execution of industrial equipment projects. The position will also be responsible for enforcement of CAD and design standards seeing that the design engineers are meeting design deadlines with consistent and high quality drawings
Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud and other tools.
Develop and enforce CAD standards and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Manage the drawing workload among the team of mechanical design engineers.
Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud and other data analysis tools to gather and analyze project data, ensuring accurate reporting on project progress, productivity, and standards adherence.
Generate regular reports for management, providing insights into key performance indicators and recommending improvements.
Recruit, train, and mentor CAD professionals.
Assist the Engineering Manager with performance reviews and facilitating professional development for team members.
Work closely with cross-functional teams of mechanical design, electrical design, and process engineering to understand project requirements and provide CAD support.
Foster collaboration between CAD teams at different locations to ensure consistency in design processes.
Collaborate with project managers to define CAD scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Monitor project progress and ensure CAD resources are allocated appropriately.
Develop and conduct training programs for CAD users to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CAD software-related issues.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.
Evaluate and recommend new CAD tools and technologies that align with the company's needs.
Required:
Salary: $100,000-$120,000

Required:
- BS Degree in Engineering
- 3 plus years in a CAD Management role overseeing Engineers/Designers
- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor
- Strong communication skills
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Proficiency with Autodesk Vault, Plant 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Navisworks
- Advanced Steel
- Solidworks
Salary: $100,000-$120,000
