CAD Designer - Spherion

We are searching for a CAD Designer/Estimator for our mechanical contractor client in Sidney, OH!

Responsibilities:
-2D Shop and construction drawings using computer aided design (CAD) software to create detailed plumbing and HVAC drawings
-As-Built drawings- incorporate field mark-ups into construction drawings to provide closeout documents for customers
-Assist with 3D coordination on large construction projects. Navigate 3D CAD software for Building Information Modeling (BIM)
-Work with Engineers and other trades to produce drawings to meet job specifications
-Plumbing and HVAC estimating. Estimating experience not required. Client is willing to teach this.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
-2+ years experience preferred, but not required. Willing to teach.
-Isometric drawings will be required for plumbing permit drawings. It would be a large plus to know what an isometric drawing is and what it looks like.
-Will need to learn some plumbing and HVAC regulations and codes.
-Construction background/knowledge preferred, but not required.
-HVAC/plumbing background would be a plus. Must be willing to learn plumbing and HVAC.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD required
-Ability to review design sketches and specs and create technical drawings for construction
-Navisworks or 3D software experience. Will need to be able to navigate 3D software for projects that require 3D coordination
-Communication skills. Must be able to communicate with customers, engineers, other trades, and installers.
