CAD Drafter/Designer - The Perillo Group

We are looking for a Civil CAD Designer/Drafter for a position in the Greater Tampa, Florida area.  The CAD Designer is an experienced professional with a background in the design and preparation of construction drawings using civil 3d and/or MicroStation software for both public and private projects. They will also compile project manuals, prepare permit applications and interact with clients and government agencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical

• Design preliminary layouts from engineering notes, sketches, and/or other drawings, ensuring they meet our company and industry standards and codes
• Prepare engineering drawings for review and submittal.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule; reviewing own work for completeness and accuracy
• Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information per our company policies and procedures
• Produce drawing and document packages
• Provide assistance with other CAD related tasks as directed
• Work with other CAD Team Members, Project Managers, and Project Engineers to understand scope of work, schedule, and budget
• Follow technical aspects and policies of the Department and Company
• Analyze technical problems; devise new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions; and communicate those to supervisor for approval and implementation
• Use company’s current technology as much as practicable to design projects
• Participate in scheduled Team meetings and, as needed, project meetings

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience

• High School Diploma

Preferred qualifications include:

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or GEOPAK experience
• Associate’s degree, related technical certificate, or equivalent experience
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications
