Responsibilities:Using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong sense of attention to detail, the CAD Technician modifies and creates design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects including the collection of field data through site visits as well as scanning and print production to project specifications.
Essential Functions of Position:
- Create, edit and modify CAD drawings including construction details and design plans from notes, descriptions, sketches or photos.
- Apply standard drafting practices and procedures.
- Self-check all work. Take pride and ownership with a high degree of attention to details.
- Collaborate in a team environment
- Travel occasionally out of state for periods of up to one week for training or field data collection. May perform site visits to scan drawings and gather field information
- Maintain drawing records by accurately entering and maintaining Document Management information such drawing titles, revisions and versions
- Maintain and apply a working knowledge of TRC and client CAD standards
- Scanning - Printing drawings to project specifications
- Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Actively pursue and develop skills required in the PDE Qualification Program for the CAD Technician II level
Skills - Abilities:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player
- Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to learn and grow is a must.
- Familiar with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
High school graduate or equivalent. Preferences for this position include an Associate degree in a technical field and formal CAD training and certification.

Salary Range:USD $26.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
