Position Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate Equipment: Perform precise calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment across various disciplines, such as electrical, dimensional, and mechanical, to ensure they meet compliance standards.
- Maintain Standards: Uphold and maintain primary calibration standards to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of measurements and equipment.
- Data Management: Collect, compile, measure, and record data gathered during calibration processes. Analyze this data to identify abnormalities, trends, or predict future values.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed calibration reports and certificates, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Quality Control: Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and follow calibration instructions accordingly, making necessary corrections to maintain equipment performance and compliance.
Performance Objectives:
Within your first 30 days:
- Complete all Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above, demonstrating rapid integration into company processes.
- Learn the operation of basic calibration equipment and tools by observing and assisting senior technicians with calibration tasks.
- Understand the documentation process for calibration reports and certificates. Start practicing accurate data recording and report preparation.
Within 60 days:
- Perform intermediate-level calibration tasks independently under minimal supervision.
- Maintain and calibrate more complex equipment in electrical, dimensional, or mechanical disciplines.
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and follow corrective actions while ensuring primary calibration standards are maintained and upheld.
Within 90 days to 1 year:
- Handle advanced calibration tasks independently, demonstrating proficiency in all assigned disciplines, and ensure all equipment meets compliance standards consistently.
- Take ownership of small calibration projects, from planning to execution. Coordinate with team members and other departments as necessary.
- Regularly review and improve calibration procedures and processes. Provide feedback to improve team performance and efficiency.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
- Minimum two years of experience.
- Ability to lift no less than 50 lbs.
Preferred
- College/technical school or military experience
