About the Role
As a Calibration Metrology Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of electronic, physical, and dimensional measuring equipment used across our operations. You will perform both on-site and off-site calibration to maintain strict adherence to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specifications. This position requires effective coordination with external calibration facilities and internal departments to ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and traceable to NIST standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate a variety of gauges and tooling following internal quality control guidelines.

• Coordinate with external calibration facilities for off-site calibration needs and manage related purchase orders.

• Maintain and update the calibration database, ensuring complete records for all equipment.

• Manage the procurement process for newly calibrated equipment, including submitting purchase requests.

• Ensure all tooling and gauges are calibrated before their expiration date.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on calibrated equipment as needed.

• Collaborate with multiple departments to collect and coordinate calibration of tools and gauges.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in calibration and metrology systems.

• Knowledge of maintaining an accredited Quality System (ISO 9001, Z-540.1) and NIST-traceable compliance standards.

• Strong proficiency with MS Office and database management.

• Excellent communication skills for working across departments and with external vendors.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues.

• Flexibility to work overtime as required.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Salary

• $25-$25 per hour
