(Temporary, part-time appointment)
St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of part-time temporary College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Admission Counselor. The Admission Counseloris responsible for communicating the University's academic and scholarship programs to prospective students, parents and high school representatives for the purpose of counseling and recruiting qualified undergraduate students, with a special focus on recruiting students with migrant farm work backgrounds.
For consideration, a Bachelor's degree required; Familiarity with and ability to articulate the value of the St. Edward's experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience making group presentations. Must work effectively with a diverse student population. Personal computer experience required. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record required. Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance requirements. Ability to contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds in accordance with the Holy Cross. Must possess the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is required.
