About the Job
We are seeking a Cultivation Technician responsible for the health and integrity of our plants, record keeping and overall compliance. The Cultivation Tech will be required to execute assigned tasks and projects from the Director of Cultivation, in accordance with Wheelhouse Growers policies, procedures and operational guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and excels as a team member within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system and time line. Ensure plant health by watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, and transplanting under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager.
Measure and mix nutrient and plant applications.
Germinate seeds, cultivate out of clones, transplant, water, feed and mix nutrients/fertilizers.
Assist with the rotation of strains through garden to ensure variety and quality goals for Cultivation facility.
Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation environment.
Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment, application tools and ventilation equipment.
Assist with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities.
Ensure accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers and all other applicable information.
Document according to company policy the application of all nutrient and/or substances applied to any plant located within the cultivation facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Prior nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience, a plus.
Experience in the medical cannabis industry or other alternative healthcare organizations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with environment protection practices and the marijuana legal framework in the state of Michigan.
Self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
