We are currently seeking a Cannabis Dispensary Assistant Store Manager who will work with the Store Manager to champion the vision for Verona Collective and support the Store Manager in sharing responsibility for all day-to-day business operations, including hiring, training, developing, and supporting team members, driving consistent attention to compliance standards and operational efficiencies, and executing the strategic plan to drive revenues and profitability. This position requires a desire for continued excellence and a drive for consistent sales growth.
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED - The ideal candidate for this role must be available to work on weekends.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Store Manager in scheduling accordingly to assure high-quality customer service and flow, decrease loss opportunities and increase sales metrics.
- Meet or exceed goals related to total store sales, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Provide aid with forecasting and adjusting payroll needs to maximize productivity, while continuing to exceed sales goals and create a harmonious workflow.
- Oversee and interpret varying departmental reporting regularly. Create in-store reporting to be reviewed with the Director of Retail weekly.
- Maintain all team member files including all People & Culture reports, training, and reprimand documentation.
- Keep track of all cash management needs including but not limited to cash sales deposits, budget tracking, change orders, discrepancies investigation, and debit processing.
- Schedule accordingly to assure high-quality customer service and flow, decrease loss opportunities, and increase sales metrics.
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
- Ensure a safe space is being maintained at all times, staying in constant communication with security personnel and staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- 2+ years of retail or hospitality managerial experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have familiarity with cannabis or prior work experience within a cannabis setting.
- Extraordinary customer service and communication prowess.
- An expertise in leadership skills with an ability to build and manage teams.
- Flexible, full-time availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Proven ability to examine sales trends and reports and envelop those into any needs of the business to sustain continued business growth.
- Comfort in mediating stressful situations, as well as confidence in the ability to reprimand and/or terminate as needed.
- Proficiency in Windows software suites such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Prior inventory experience
