Job Summary:
The Packager assembles and packages concentrates and flower products. Under the direction of the Packaging Manager, the Packager weighs, measures and packages cannabis products for resale while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, quality and sanitation. This role is responsible for product tracking and electronic documentation, and ensuring products are packed and accounted for in accordance with company policy and State regulations.
Essential Functions:
The Packager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to,
- Packages concentrates and flower products without degrading or sacrificing quality; determines exact weight and prepares product for packaging.
- Prepares and adheres labels to each package; verifies that labels for finished packages conform to State regulations.
- Tracks product and maintains documentation standards, ensuring products are accounted for throughout the packaging process.
- Ensures that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance and successfully conforms to all State regulations, organizational standards and procedures, and security protocols.
- Works successfully in a team setting, takes instructions well and helps on tasks as delegated by Lead or Manager.
- Reviews orders and prepares products for packaging; monitors products electronically and enters information into tracking database in accordance with departmental guidelines & State regulations.
- Manages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals while consistently producing quality work.
- Maintains the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the processing area and participates in the clean-up of equipment and work place at the end of every day.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Packager position requires a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, and knowledge of medical marijuana law.
This is an entry-level position in the cannabis industry. The position requires a strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills and ability to work in a highly regulated environment. Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications recommended.
Specific state regulatory requirements also include verification, confirmation or completion of the following,
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age; pursuant to A.R.S. §36-2801.10
- Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check conducted by the Arizona Department of Health Services, pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-2804.01 and A.R.S. §36-2801.10
