Summary:
The primary goal of the Cannabis Packaging Associate is producing packaged flower to the quality specifications for each product line. This role is critical in ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and is ready for sale or further processing. The associate is detail-oriented and efficient, adept at handling packaging operations with precision to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, maintain a clean working environment, possess computer software skills, good math and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production: Package flower via automation or by hand, depending on the product and production processes. Label and seal packaging for final finished goods. Handle THC- based materials during some of the production processes
- Quality Control: Strict adherence to quality controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis they are working with; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
- Time Management: Employee must manage their time efficiently to meet production schedule while consistently producing quality products.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Packaging staff is responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every shift.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding the handling and processing of cannabis. Continuous growth and process improvement through coaching, communication and teamwork.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in cannabis production or a related agricultural field is preferred but not required.
- Personal Skill set: The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Be punctual and persistent while maintaining a professional, positive attitude, and exhibit self-motivation / innovation and the ability to work productively with all members of their team and other employees. Ability to use initiative and independent judgment properly while following company policies, policies and work instructions.
- Team Player: Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with all team members, including direct supervisors and co-workers, and be able to work well independently, and in a team environment.
- Basic Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid drivers license and reliable mode of transportation. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Requires the ability to sit or stand for 8 hours per day. Must be 21 years of age or older.
