Summary:
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Capabilities Planner to support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Concept Development and Integration Division (J59) team. This mission requires Futures Planning and Synchronization (FPS) support services to be provided onsite at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. The purpose of this role is to provide the Special Operation Forces (SOF) Enterprise with subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide advice, analyses, and assistance in carrying out responsibilities required to support the J5 missions.

What You Will Do:
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of all projects being and shall ensure fully capable support functions are executed
- Oversee and perform the day-to-day management and administration of project tasks
- Perform as senior technical advisor and manager for the development of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents.
- Conduct capability-based assessments during the development of SOF and Joint Concepts and capability requirement documents
- Develop SOF and Joint requirement documents
- Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet task requirements.
- Support the development of strategic guidance with the Joint Staff
- Support the development of capability based assessments with SOF Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L)
- Support J5 in the development of the SOF vision and strategy
- Participate in FPS-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, technology shows, etc.)
- Provide SOF mission analytical support to the members of the Trans-Regional Sync Teams (i.e., 3+2 Campaign Teams)
- Provide SOF mission analytical support to members of the Global Campaign Plan Review Team
- Provide SME analysis to identify solutions and areas for further study to address capability gaps
- Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)
- Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian, or contractor
- Experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff
- Experience using ALL Microsoft Office products (i.e. SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel, etc.)
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution – OR – 10 years of experience conducting Strategic Communication, Project Management, Marketing, and/or Business and Operations Management.
- Prior military experience as a senior officer.
