Summary
The Capital Management Analyst position reports to the Capital Management & Treasury Risk Director and supports the Bank’s capital management strategy, framework, and execution, including the optimization of target capital levels (inclusive of capital stress testing), composition and mix of capital sources, and capital distribution strategies. This analyst role is expected to significantly contribute to the reporting and analytics for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the design and development of daily, weekly, and monthly management level reports specific to capital management.
- Contributes meeting materials for management, executive and board level meetings
- Supports capital monitoring, forecasting, and planning including dividend, share repurchases, and ongoing peer analysis.
- Supports the development of the annual capital plan
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant Corporate Treasury financial institution experience with good working knowledge of capital management at large banks with $250B in assets (as defined by the OCC and Federal Reserve).
- Awareness of regulatory expectations around capital management
- Experience communicating end-reporting and analysis to management.
- Experience developing reporting and analysis.
- Highly motivated proactive self-starter approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- Strategic and critical thinking skills to assist in developing and implementing new industry leading processes to strengthen Treasury from a capital management perspective.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, deliver to deadlines, handle stress with composure and professionalism, and move work forward with limited direction.
- Ability to effectively interface with 2nd line Risk and 3rd line Audit partners, as well as external regulators.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently.
