If so, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking you to work at our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) located outside of Baltimore, Maryland, MD manufacturing site.We’re hiring a Capital Project Manager to support the business for end-to-end major capital project implementation and project results that achieve business objectives, while complying with standard work practices
You will partner with various stakeholders such as technology, maintenance, and operations as well as Global Supply Chain to bring maximum value to the business through effective leadership of cost and capital project planning and implementation process.   Additionally, you will work directly with the vendors/OEM to establish support and service contracts to cover the operation of the capital equipment. Responsibilities:Translate business objectives into the capital project objectiveManage a portfolio of projectsEnsures all non-capital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluatedOrganizes and leads the capex projects you're assigned to by adhering to the project management life cycle by working with the Project Team members for acquiring and releasing project resources as needed during the life of the project, along with ensuring accurate execution of project cost and scheduleEstablishes effective communications within the Project Team to ensure alignment among business objectives, project objectives, and the basis of designLeads the development of the roles and responsibilities definitions for the project and ensure each functional team member understands their role and deliverablesManages overall project expenditures and schedule to meet business expectationsClearly sets overall Project Team direction and expectationInterface with plant and the Corporate Capital Project Leadership Team and the Business Capital Planning ManagerDrives capital project work processes and practices as described in the Grace standards (GPM Manual)Coordinate with Global Supply Chain (GSC) to negotiate service contracts with OEM and 3rd party vendorsOversee the execution of existing service contracts and ensure the vendor meets all contractual requirements.Coordinate with key stakeholders to implement necessary changes within the organization, with primary objectives to improve equipment safety, equipment uptime, and process capabilities.Lead tool down escalation for tools under service contracts
Be the liaison between ATL Ops, process engineering and vendors.Lead a team to analyze available equipment data and identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime.Coordinate with key stakeholders to implement necessary changes within the organization, with primary objectives to improve equipment safety, equipment uptime, and process capabilities.Implement industry standard KPIs, such as M-ratio, uptime% and PM success rate. Ensures data is accurate and meets deadlines prior to initiating detailed design#NGATLBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 8 years of experience in Project Management in a manufacturing and/or petrochemical industry; Masters with 6 yearsExperience with project management software to control scope, schedule and budget.Self-managing, proactiveStrong verbal and written communications skillsExcellent teamwork and ability to work across business functionsProven skills/experience building high performing cross-functional teams and culture to achieve operational excellence and meet the expectations of internal customers/stakeholdersAbility to prioritize and multi-task when there are competing demands on you and the teamAbility to formulate, communicate and execute complex project plans and initiativesStrong business and financial acumenUS Citizenship requiredCurrently holding a Top Secret (TS) SCI with poly clearancePreferred Qualifications:SAPProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationProcess Safety Management (PSM) experienceProficient in MS ProjectExperience utilizing the Front-end loading method of project development#NGMCFabSalary Range: $145,000.00 - $217,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
