Position Overview
Our Assistant General Managers are the heartbeat of our Car Care Centers. Your primary responsibility is to achieve customer satisfaction by ensuring all of the services we provide meet our standards of quality. In addition, you will be expected to manage and lead your service team with a focus on four key areas: teamwork, safety, job knowledge and productivity.
Duties & Responsibilities

Increase Customer Satisfaction and Service
- Effectively manage customer concerns.
- Have a firm grasp and understanding of situations that warrant escalating to your General Manager
- Manage any warranty issues
- Drive Quality Assurance and policy compliance to guarantee fixed right the first time
- Have a firm understanding of the Customer Journey and your role in it
Increase Personal Productivity
- Guide your team to operate at peak performance.
- Ensure that the 300% rule is in play everyday
- Understand each team member's abilities and capacity for performance output, and hold each one accountable.
- Manage the Center's labor, inventory and expenses, properly assigning and dispatching work, and complying with all governmental requirements.
- Formulate and execute a daily plan that encourages focus on goals, by appropriately managing time and tasks, and driving shop labor productivity.
- Manage and report on your Center's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), violations of company policies and/or customer concerns to your General Manager
Perform All Product Installations In A Cost Effective, Professional Manner
- Know the goals for the Center, including KPIs.
- Manage all vehicle repairs through Auto Vitals
- Own responsibility for car count, sales, customer retention and satisfaction, gross profit, technician productivity and efficiency, and taxable income.
- Stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for securing the Car Care Center, vehicles, cash, checks, credit card information, all customer information, and all employee records for which they have access.
Be Aware Of, And Comply With Center Safety Rules at All Times
- Properly maintain equipment to process both customers and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
- Create and maintain a safe work environment for all team members, at all times.
Contribute To The Efficiency of Your Center Through Teamwork
- Lead meaningful and effective service team meetings.
- Perform reviews and troubleshoot issues with your service team.
- Provide leadership for the shop team.
- Treat others in a professional manner and lead by example.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, reliability, self-awareness, and empathy.
Experience & Requirements
- A passion for and understanding of Team Outsider's mission and values.
- ASE Certification preferred, and required within six months of employment.
- Must have 2+ years of automotive service management experience and 2+ years automotive technician experience, including the ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical problems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, etc.
- Some Customer Service experience is preferred.
- Must have a driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be fluent in the English language, and able to communicate clearly.
- Must adhere to company safety guidelines, and promote Center safety at all times.
- Must maintain a well groomed appearance at all times, and wear approved footwear and attire.
- Must be a team player, and demonstrate a high degree of integrity, reliability, self-awareness, and empathy.
