Job Summary:
Emerging Tech is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist who will be responsible for administering a range of Anesthesiology services within in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding the currently recognized national standards as established by: American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA). The role involves preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care, with a focus on patients with complex cardiac conditions. This position requires close collaboration with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments of patients, including reviewing medical history, evaluating heart and lung function, and determining appropriate anesthetic techniques tailored to each patient’s cardiac condition.
Develop individualized anesthesia plans for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, or sedation, depending on the type of procedure and patient’s health.
Administer anesthesia and continuously monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and cardiac function using advanced monitoring techniques such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgery.
Provide postoperative pain management and monitor recovery in the ICU or post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), ensuring smooth recovery and the prevention of complications like arrhythmias or respiratory issues.
Work closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and other members of the surgical team to manage hemodynamic changes during procedures and ensure effective communication throughout surgeries.
Be prepared to manage and respond to any intraoperative or postoperative complications, including cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, or unstable hemodynamics, using advanced life support techniques.
Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and guidelines, including minimizing the risk of adverse reactions and complications related to anesthesia or surgery.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of anesthetic management, including preoperative assessments, intraoperative events, medications administered, and postoperative recovery notes.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac anesthesiology, including new techniques, medications, and best practices. Participate in continuing education programs and contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
License to practice medicine in any state/Territory/commonwealth of United States or District of Columbia
Certified American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency
A cardiac fellowship trained with TAVR expertise.
