About the Job
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you would participate in the development of the plan of care for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing or interventional procedure. You would perform scrub and monitoring duties utilizing all aspects of catheterization equipment, while applying prescribed procedure for operation of radiology imaging equipment; including storing of images, burning CDs, archiving, calculates ejection fraction from LV gram.
Qualifications:
Cath Lab/EP monitoring, critical lab background preferred.
Average number of patients cared for daily in unit; average 30 cases per day
Types of diagnoses and patients cared for in unit; STEMI, NSTEMI, Ablations,
Pacemakers, TAVR, TMVR, Structural Heart Procedures, Watchman, Mitra Clips, PCI, Impella, Right and Left Heart Catheterizations
Reporting structure; New hire > Charge > Shift Coordinator > Manager > Director
Work hours and on-call hours required; Cath 7p-7a or 7a-7p, EP: 7p-7a or 7a-7p but stay late on most days dependent on patient flow with Stay Pay allocation post 30-minutes.
On call: Cath Lab – 6:30p-7a weekdays and weekends 7a Saturday-7a Monday
No On call of EP: you stay late to finish cases
Relocation fee and applicable details; Up to $10K for relocation
20k retention package to these employees for a two-year commitment.
5K in first check,
5k at end of 1 year.
10k at end of year two.
Additionally, we will offer a 5k bonus to the vendor at the end of 1 year
· Sign-on bonus and applicable details; None
· Number of open positions with same title;
· Urgency of need to fill; ASAP
· Number of beds in unit/unit size; Bays: 21 in pre/post op, 6 Cath lab procedure rooms and 3 EP procedure rooms. It takes up an entire floor.
· Clinician/patient ratio; 2:1
Qualifications:
- RCIS or R.T. (R) (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- MUST HAVE one year of Cath lab experience within a hospital setting.
