Location: Grapevine, TX
Shift: Variable Shifts, 4 Shifts Per Week (10-Hour Shifts), 40 Hours Total
Salary Range: $33 - $52 per hour, based on experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer II to perform advanced echocardiographic procedures in a patient-focused environment. In this role, you will prepare patients, conduct diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations, and assist physicians during complex cardiac procedures. You will also play an essential part in maintaining equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging results, and supporting the ongoing success of the echocardiography lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for echocardiographic procedures and obtain relevant clinical history to tailor imaging techniques
- Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, making necessary measurements for accurate interpretation
- Identify and define cardiac abnormalities, adapting procedures and correlating diagnostic results as needed
- Assist physicians during complex procedures by performing echocardiograph studies in procedure and operating rooms
- Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms, including probe sterilization and calculation of appropriate measurements
- Maintain the echocardiography lab and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and reporting any malfunctions
- Act as a resource for other staff, physicians, and students regarding techniques, procedures, and equipment
- Support quality assurance activities and ICAEL accreditation processes in collaboration with the quality coordinator
- Implement new protocols as technology evolves and ensure adherence to system standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program or 2 years of relevant work experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS
