Job Description
Current staffing: 1 Medical Director, 4Staff MD’s, 2 NP, 2PA.
This position will report to the Section Chief of Cardiology Interventionalist.
- Outpatient
- Non-Supervisory Positions
- Rotating Call
- Inpatient rounding
- Highlights of this position include:
- Daily schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30pm.
- Night and weekend call distributed on an equitable basis with other staff.
- Additional requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Clinical research and academic activities encouraged.

- Malpractice Insurance VA physicians are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act - 28 U.S.C. § 1346 and 28 U.S.C § 2671. Medical personnel have statutory immunity from “individual” malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment; a VA physician cannot be sued in civil court for a malpractice (tort) claim.
