Cardiovascular Technologist

Location: Eureka, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Eureka, CA, to find a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join their team. This position involves performing various technical procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab and working collaboratively with physicians to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies.
• Prepare and operate specialized equipment, such as catheters, guidewires, and imaging systems.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic parameters during procedures.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and patient care.
• Adhere to strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ARRT-accredited school or equivalent education/experience
• California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license upon hire
• National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in angiocardiography, or equivalent education/experience
• Advanced registration from ARRT in Cardiovascular and Interventional imaging (CV) upon hire
• 2 years experience as a scrub technician in an acute care hospital
