Position Summary
The Care Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the facility, including overseeing staff, ensure compliance with state regulations, managing finances, and providing highest quality care to residents. The Manager is the primary point of contact for families, residents, and staff, and works closely with medical professionals, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure the health and well-being of our residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that all staff are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that the facility is complaint with all sate and federal regulations, including health and safety codes, fire codes, and licensing requirements.
- Interface with the licensing agency and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Hire, train, and supervise staff, including caregivers, cooks, and house keeping staff.
- Provide direct care to residents as needed, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and well-being of residents, including emergency plans and infection control procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care, staff performance, and facility finances.
- Ensure that the facility is clean, comfortable, and welcoming to residents and visitors.
- Facilitate discussions with prospective residents an their families regarding placement, pre-admission assessments, requirements, and answer any queries they may have.
- Manage the admission process of signing and explaining admission policies and procedures to residents and family to ensure satisfaction.
- Understand and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
