We are seeking an experienced Career Technical Program Manager to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive training program for entry-level engineers. This role focuses on fostering technical expertise, professional development, and career growth within our engineering organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the program meets both individual and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
The base range for this contract position is $52-62/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We are seeking an experienced Career Technical Program Manager to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive training program for entry-level engineers. This role focuses on fostering technical expertise, professional development, and career growth within our engineering organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the program meets both individual and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps, knowledge requirements, and future development needs of engineers.
- Design and develop engaging training curricula, including onboarding programs, technical skills training, professional development workshops, and leadership programs.
- Incorporate various training methodologies, such as online courses, in-person workshops, mentoring, job shadowing, and cross-functional projects.
- Collaborate with engineering managers to align training programs with performance goals and individual development plans.
- Develop assessment tools to measure the impact of training on employee performance and skill development.
- Manage logistics for training events, including scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation.
- Track participant progress, provide feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Promote a culture of integrity, trust, feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively about the training program's goals, progress, and impact.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading software development projects or programs.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
- Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Full stack engineering experience with modern technologies such as Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience with serverless architecture, particularly using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
- Familiarity with SQL (Postgres, SQL Server) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) database solutions.
