Caregiver for Community Based Day Program - Sevita

Cole Vocational Services, a member of the Sevita family, provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY! Caregivers for our Day Program 
Would you like to make a difference in every day in someone's life? Based in community settings, and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible.

• Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, shopping, creative activities - all while working on developmental goals of the individuals we serve
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration (if needed)
• Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities
• Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, and/or bathing and toileting (as needed)
• Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors which we provide training and coaching on

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Six months of experience in human services preferred (not required)
• Valid CA driver’s license in good standing
• Reliable vehicle with proof of valid registration and insurance
• Successful clearance of background checks
