CARES Production Worker - MSA Safety

1st Shift - 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm on Friday and Saturdays as business needs dictate

Starting pay $18.00/hr, additional compensation will be evaluated based upon experience

Now hiring for a Production Worker in our "CARES" (Cleaning and repair evaluation services) Department.  This role will be counted on to perform the following tasks: 

• Inspection, review, and evaluation of turnout gear ranging in age and condition. 
• Prep, repair, and conducting alterations of turnout gear. 
• Constructing/building/assembly of a variety of small parts to support production value streams. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

• Extensive understanding of products and applicable work instructions dating back 10 years from present.
• Knowledge of Globe products and materials.
• Experience with patterns and/or alterations. 
• Prioritizes own tasks to complete them in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision. 
• Positively approaches change or new situations. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with employees at all levels 
• Computer skills:  Basic skills with Microsoft 365; ability to navigate order system and access basic data.   
• Ability to sit and stand during an 8-hour shift. 
• Ability to push, pull, and lift to 25 lbs. as needed. 
• Able to multi-task, depending upon department needs. 
• Working knowledge of NFPA 1851 standards (training provided). 
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment. 
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required:

• 1+ year stitching experience
