Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice who is ready to learn the craft of carpentry. This entry-level position offers hands-on training with the potential to grow into a skilled carpenter role. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters, gaining experience on a variety of projects while building foundational skills for a long-term career in construction and remodeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Carpentry Tasks
- Support lead carpenters with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and installing various materials.
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools, including power tools, under supervision.
- Site Preparation and Maintenance
- Prepare work areas by gathering materials, setting up tools, and ensuring a clean workspace.
- Help maintain a safe, organized job site by following Crosby Home Services' safety protocols.
- Learning and Development
- Shadow experienced carpenters to learn advanced techniques in construction and remodeling.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to advance your skills and understanding of the trade.
Requirements
- Experience: Basic construction knowledge is ideal, including familiarity with carpentry tools and power tool operation.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to use (and have) a toolbag, tape measure, and other minor carpentry tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and perform both indoor and outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
