Carpenter - R.H. White Construction

Carpenter Position Summary:

Constructs, renovates, repairs and finishes buildings, building components and other structures, utilizing both hand and power tools.

Hiring Requirements for Carpenter:

• 5+ years' carpentry job-site experience and demonstrated job skills set, or completion of apprenticeship program.
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions, read blueprints and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three-dimension; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; make decisions based
• On measurable information.
• Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
• Plan work and select proper tools
• Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
• Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
• Perform duties that may change often.
• Personal tools required: Tape measure, tool belt, hammer, utility knife and square.
• Physically, must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; coordinate eye-hand movement; use hands and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction); and stand, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana).
