Carpenter Position Summary:
Constructs, renovates, repairs and finishes buildings, building components and other structures, utilizing both hand and power tools.
Hiring Requirements for Carpenter:
- 5+ years' carpentry job-site experience and demonstrated job skills set, or completion of apprenticeship program.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions, read blueprints and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Visualize objects in three-dimension; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; make decisions based
- On measurable information.
- Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
- Plan work and select proper tools
- Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
- Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
- Perform duties that may change often.
- Personal tools required: Tape measure, tool belt, hammer, utility knife and square.
- Physically, must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; coordinate eye-hand movement; use hands and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction); and stand, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana).
