Job Title: Carpenter I

Position Overview: The Carpenter I, under the supervision of the Fabrication Department manager and foremen, is responsible for performing basic carpentry work on custom exhibits, cabinetry, and scenery using industrial woodworking machinery and materials according to specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and assemble wooden structures and components.
• Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Previous carpentry experience is a plus.
