Job Title: Carpenter Leader

Location: Carpenter Shop, Engineering Service, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise carpentry projects, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Construct, alter, maintain, and repair structures and fixtures.
• Train and mentor junior carpenters and staff.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in carpentry and construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
