Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule: PT+ 25-29 hours per week
Reporting Relationship: Corps Commanding Officers
Salary and Grade: $ 12.36 / 72 Non-exempt

Position Overview: The Case Aide will serve in a support role to the Corps Officers. The Case Aide will be intimately and integrally involved in the daily operations of the Corps and its mission relative to the delivery of Services. The Case Aide should be able to multi-task, work independently, be willing to learn Salvation Army Data Entry Systems (Service Pointe, NSS, etc.), and maintain high standards of confidentiality. The Case Aide should be able to work in harmony with fellow employees, volunteers, and clients and be flexible to meet the programming needs of Philadelphia West Corps. The ideal candidate will remain teachable and interested in their ongoing professional development. They should also be willing to engage in supporting the Mission of The Salvation Army.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls and greet those who enter the Corps, providing information and screening to determine which staff person or program they will need to be directed.
- Schedule Appointments for those needing assistance (Emergency Food, Legal Clinic, Pastoral Care).
- Maintain an active database of Client Referral
- Assist clients with referral information to available City programs (ie: Utility, Rental Assistance, Adult Rehabilitation Centers).
- Maintain Corps Daily Visitation
- Assist applicants with completing forms (Client Intake for emergency food, Holiday Assistance,).
- Assist the Corps Officers with The Salvation Army's camping ministry, including recruitment, parent contact, chaperoning, database management, and fee collection.
- Compile/Maintain client information and input statistics in both Service Point and the National Social Services System.
- Give oversight to the Emergency Food Pantry (ordering food as assigned, stocking shelves, maintaining orderliness/cleanliness).
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and workshops assigned
- Be knowledgeable of Salvation Army Corps
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:- High School Graduate or equivalent; one year of work experience in a related
- Good verbal and communication
- Must have proficiency in administrative office procedures, including the use of standard office
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with all people with a professional
- Valid driver's license with good driving
- As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
- Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
