About the Job
A New Jersey based nonprofit legal services organization is currently seeking a Case Manager to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
The Case Manager will:
- Provide social work support for litigation clients, case assessment, development of service plans, identifying community resources, assisting clients in accessing services, and monitoring referrals
- Coordinate with attorney and paralegal staff to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of holistic services to clients
- Interview clients, gather information, identify client specific needs, assist clients with preparing applications as needed, and maintain client files
- Refer clients to community providers for non-legal needs
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Foreign language is a must
- At least 2 years of social work experience preferably with a non-profit and/or social service agency
- Ability to work with clients with mental health, trauma, domestic violence, and/or homelessness issues
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat)
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience with a legal services organization
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
