Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Download, review, reconcile and accurately post all lockbox payments daily with a 48 hr. turnaround deadline.
- Post complex payment remittances to various location ledgers.
- Search, download and record remittances from customer portals.
- Maintain and update records of all unpaid, short paid and overpaid items.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies in payments to the collection department.
- Research unidentified payments for proper posting
- Reconcile daily posting report to bank statement
- Scan all supporting documents into a shared file
- Retrieve supporting documentation including proof of deliveries, invoices and acknowledgements
- Assist other cash application specialists when necessary
- Provide internal support to both the invoicing and collections departments
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 2 - 3 years+ experience in Accounts Receivables / Accounting.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Outlook, Excel and MS Word; ability to learn and adapt to numerous programs and systems within Reeb.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of cash posting and accounts receivables experience
- Critical thinking skills; ability to identify and solve practical problems in a timely manner
- Ability to calculate accounting figures in an accounting environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines, tasks, and duties
