Job Title: Cash Application Specialist
Job Description
The Cash Application Specialist will process and reconcile account receivables and remittances, review payments, and apply them to the correct customer accounts. This role involves creating regular reports to accurately track financial information, addressing payment issues such as double payments or other discrepancies, and engaging in collection management processes as necessary. Additionally, the specialist will assist the department with other AR-related work, including credit and collections, as needed, and manipulate data using Excel.
Responsibilities
+ Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances
+ Review payments and apply them to the correct customer accounts
+ Create regular reports to accurately track financial information
+ Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies
+ Engage in collection management processes as necessary
+ Assist department with other AR-related work including credit/collections as needed
+ Manipulate data using Excel
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Self-starter
+ Degrees in economics, business, accounting, or finance are also acceptable
+ Experience in AR or general accounting is acceptable in lieu of a degree
