About the Job
Our client is hiring for a Cash Application Specialist on a temp-to-hire basis
This position is hybrid, 3 days remote and 2 days in-office
Payment Processing: They handle the daily receipt of payments, whether through checks, electronic transfers, credit card payments, or other methods
They verify the accuracy of payment details and record them in the company's financial systems.
Account Reconciliation: Cash Application Specialists reconcile incoming payments with customer accounts, invoices, and other relevant records
They ensure that payments are correctly allocated and applied to the appropriate invoices or accounts.
Data Entry and Documentation: They accurately enter payment information into the company's accounting software or ERP system
This includes updating customer records, invoice details, and transaction information for proper tracking and reporting.
Issue Resolution: Cash Application Specialists investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
This may involve contacting customers or internal departments to clarify payment details, resolve disputes, or address any outstanding balances.
Reporting and Analysis: They generate regular reports on payment activities, outstanding balances, and cash flow for management review
These reports help identify trends, discrepancies, or potential issues that require attention.
Customer Service: They may interact with customers to address payment-related inquiries, provide payment confirmations, or assist with payment-related issues
Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach are valuable in ensuring positive customer experiences.
Process Improvement: Cash Application Specialists may identify opportunities to streamline cash application processes, enhance efficiency, or implement automation solutions
They collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payment processing workflows and reduce errors.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
