Pay Rate: $30/hr - $40/hr
Location: Downtown Manhattan - *5 days a week*
Duration: 4+ Months - opportunity to extend based on performance!
***Must come from restaurant or retail dealing with the cash count at closing
Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Restaurant Cash Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all cash-related activities within our restaurant operations. This includes cash handling, reconciliations, deposits, and loss prevention. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cash management principles, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Handling:
- Ensure accurate and efficient handling of cash receipts and disbursements.
- Train and supervise restaurant staff on proper cash handling procedures.
- Monitor cash flow and identify potential risks or discrepancies.
- Reconciliations:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash registers, bank deposits, and petty cash.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or discrepancies.
- Deposits:
- Prepare and deposit daily cash receipts to the bank.
- Ensure timely and accurate bank deposits.
- Loss Prevention:
- Implement and monitor loss prevention measures to safeguard cash and assets.
- Investigate and report any suspected theft or fraud.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular cash management reports to management.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to improve cash management processes.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable cash handling regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
