Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for providing cashiering and customer service for customers of Darlow's Quality Foods. Responsible for ensuring registers are ran quickly, efficiently, and accurately while making sure the customer leaves with a smile!
Job Duties/Responsibilities

Daily Routines
- Keep your station clean and neat throughout shift.
- Bag groceries for fellow cashiers when needed.
- Restock bags at beginning and end of shift.
- Face Candy/magazine's.
- Face aisle assigned by managers.
- Keep end caps clean/dusted.
- Stock cigarettes when needed.
- Day cashiers will sweep/mop and take out trash before going home.
- Closing cashier vacuum front end, take out trash as needed.
- Pick up family foods rug when wet and put over cardboard in back room.
- If you have time to lean you have time to clean.
- The Front End communication log is important, please leave any information in there for the next shift and this helps so everyone knows what is going on.
- If your till is not already in the drawer, you will need to find your Front End manager or Supervisor. You will keep your till key in your register until you count down at the end of the day. After you count down your till please lock your till up in office and put your key in your pickup bag and place it into the safe.
**These duties are not all inclusive. You will be asked by Management to perform various tasks. This can include, but is not limited to, stocking freight, filling the ice machine, carry outs, and helping out in departments**

Education/Experience:to perform this job successfully, an individual must:
· Be at least 14 years of age or older.
· Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
· Frequentlysit, walk, grasp, reach, stand, talk, or hear.
· Frequently stoop, crouch, lift or pull/push up to 30 lbs.
· Clearly see 20+ feet as well as close vision, with or without corrective lenses.
Mental & Other Skills/Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the:
· Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment
· Computer/Technical Ability: working knowledge of cash register system.
· Dependability: ability to follow instructions, both in written and verbal format; ability to respond to management direction; ability to complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan when necessary. Meet expectations as set forth in attendance policy.
· Interpersonal Skills: ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with others, excellent customer service skills and an ability to act in a supportive team environment.
· Mathematical Ability: basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The ability to count money.
· Motor Coordination: the ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements.

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee may be:
· Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at a low level.
· Injury Exposure:not exposed to workplace hazards more frequently than normal.
