Personal Choice Investment Services (PCIS) helps companies, and their employees manage brokerage-related products and services in their retirement plans. PCIS is growing rapidly by providing an industry leading platform to better serve the retirement plan needs of Plan Sponsors, Participants, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and Investment Advisors.
As a Cashiering Team Manager, you will lead a team of 5-10 professionals whose main responsibilities are to manage money movement for PCIS. This individual will understand what it takes to lead a team and know what expectations need to be achieved to deliver the highest level of service to all our internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and knowledge of the money movement systems located at Schwab. This position requires the ability to consistently perform to a high-level performance and quality goals set by the Director based on the needs and expectations of our corporate clients and plan providers while following all team expectations.
This leader will motivate, inspire, and develop a diverse department responsible for performing and executing on our organization’s purpose and mission. This manager will report to the Director of PCIS Operations
- Responsible for the oversight of all team personnel and activity including all wires, money movement and approvals for such.
- Establish annual objectives for the team; coach/guide employees to achieve those objectives and address performance issues swiftly and respectfully.
- Develop and improve processes to enhance operations and efficiency.
- Support the team in establishing essential controls and reduce risk in our processes.
- Build and enhance relationships within Schwab including a focus on Schwab Retirement Plan Service, Charles Schwab Trust Bank, Schwab Retirement Technologies, and Institutional PCRA clients.
- Managing multiple tasks effectively by balancing high productivity with excellent service quality while meeting or exceeding established service level standards.
- Performing duties with confidence, minimal supervision, and sound judgment to mitigate risk for the firm.
- Adhering to all compliance/risk procedures and follow corporate and industry protocols.
- Completing additional tasks and projects assigned by management.
What you have
- 3+ years of cashiering experience.
- 2-3+ years of leadership experience.
- Understanding of rules governing qualified retirement plans and working knowledge of ERISA preferred.
- Strong service and client contact skills, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must have a sense of urgency, excellent operational, organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and process complex work.
- Ability to identify and solve complex issues in a team environment working with various levels of management and business partners.
- Must be able to work across sites (broader team spans Omaha, Phoenix, Westlake and Richfield locations) in the spirit of true collaboration to ensure the approach we take with our associates and clients is consistent.
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally; proven track record of establishing proactive, constructive dialogue with senior business leaders and peers.
- Excellent technical skills, with the ability to utilize multiple applications at one time, including MS Word and Excel, internet researching, database systems, and email.
- Positive attitude, high emotional intelligence, team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
