Position : Cassandra DBA
Location : Dallas, TX.
Duration : Contract
Rate : DOE

US Citizen, Green Card, H4 EAD only
C2C available for US Citizen and Green Card only (no EAD for C2C)

Skill Requirements:
· Install/Configure/Maintain/Tune and Administer DataStax Cassandra Enterprise Versions for 24/7 applications.
· Setting up Multi-Datacenters for Cassandra.
· Have experience working with operations and supporting big Cassandra clusters spread in multiple datacenters.
· Patch/Upgrade Cassandra.
· Strong knowledge in UNIX/Linux Environments
· Good experience in scripting languages like bash
· Proficient with all Cassandra utilities (nodetool, cqlsh etc)
· Participate in DBA team on-call pager rotation and on-call support duties.
· Strong understanding of complex inner workings of Cassandra, such as the gossip protocol, hinted handoffs, read repairs, etc.
· Experience with identifying hardware and software related issues.

Additional skills preferable:
· Knowledge of Bladelogic,Ansible
· Knowledge of Spark/Solr
