Job Overview:Provides assistance to physicians in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction, Ilizarov device and other splint or motion device as prescribed. Informs patients / families, staff and students about the use and care of casts, traction and Ilizarov devices; monitors and orders casting and traction supplies and equipment.
This position is full time, non exempt, days and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $31.39 - $44.32/hour. Compensation is determined based on experience and department equity.
Responsibilities:- Performs direct and indirect patient care activities within the scope of practice of an Orthopedic Technician
- Performs casting, traction and Ilizarov services under the direction and supervision of an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon
- Demonstrates open, accurate and timely communication with patients/families and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective therapeutic intervention. Maintains competency, adheres to standards of practice, recognizes own learning needs to maximize professional development and optimal patient care

Qualifications:Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred:
- 1+ years Orthopedic Technician experience
