Looking For:
- Someone with 5-10 years of experience in a Category Manager role
- Must be able to come in and hit the ground running
- George said rate will be challenging but if we are seeing people who are stellar outside of the rate to let him know so he has data points to provide to his manager
- This person will do their own function outside of the CLASS Program team but are on the same team/sit together in the same office
- When submitting a resume, "Category Manager” needs to be one of their previous roles on the resume or they won't even be considered
Crucial/Must Haves:
- Need to have "Indirect Spend” experience; they've seen profiles in the past with Direct Spend experience and they were passed over (really hammered this home with me several times)
- Must know IT Technology to be able to have high level negotiations with customers
- Experience with SaaS (no specific platform but having worked through negotiations and managed the procurement process with SaaS companies such as Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.)
