About the Job
The catering chef is responsible for preparing and cooking for all catered functions. This position has a flexible work schedule, which results in a non-standard work week. You are responsible for working with the executive chef on training, recipes, menu improvements and design, and all basic functions of a catering chef. You must be adaptable and ready to pivot due to the always changing environment of weddings and caterings. Must have reliable transportation due to various venue locations.
Working with executive chef on menu updates and improvements
Maintaining food COGs within company standard, 20-35%
Preparing and cooking for all catered events and functions
Assist training staff
Assisting with cooking for tastings
Weekend availability
All basic functions of a catering chef
Keep health and safety standards both to state code and to business standards
Cooking for bulk order of 200+ guests
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Alexander's opened on the shores of Findley Lake in 2017, and has since grown into two restaurants and a catering company. Serving American style food, the only thing better than the view of the lake is the taste and the guests that come in!
