Gelati Celesti is growing our food truck and catering program, and we are looking for a dynamic people manager with a head for sales and has entrepreneurial spirit to drive growth in our Events programs. This position is designed to reward hard work with a base pay plus commission.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the food truck and catering operations, including staffing, scheduling, equipment/truck maintenance, customer relations, and financial performance.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the catering departments to other businesses and event spaces, including implementing door-to-door sales techniques and networking within the local business community.
- Seek out and build a robust schedule of events for the food truck.
- Actively participates in food truck events and fulfills catering orders as needed.
- Has a passion for people and leads with customer service while also instilling that mindset within team of ~3-4 (catering manager, food truck assistant manager, food truck shift leader, part-time scoopers)
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions on the spot
- Recruiting, onboarding, training and development of Assistant Food Truck Manager, Food Truck Shift Leaders, & Scoopers
- Assess and maintain standards of cleanliness and food safety within the catering department and food truck
- Maintain and monitor product quality and consistency
- Ensure compliance administratively i.e.: placing orders, scheduling, reviews
- Act as liaison between catering and food truck needs and the production department
- Maintain and support of culture throughout organization daily with both internal and external customers

Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role within hospitality management
- Has experience driving catering sales within a customer service environment
- Willingness to be flexible during unexpected challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
- Work week consists of 40-45 hours. Average week is 43 hours.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
- Ability to be on feet for 8+ hours
- Clean driving record & background check
- Capability to lift 40 pounds
- ServSafe certification or equivalent certification preferred
