Job Title: Deli Catering Lead
FLSA Status: Hourly
Reports To: Deli Manager
Deli associates have the opportunity to improve the breakfast, lunch, and dinner tables of our guests by providing a wide variety of delicious meal options. The Catering Lead's main responsibility is to prepare food for all guest orders for pick-up and delivery. They will also be responsible for directing any staff that is to go out to a destination that is to be catered.
Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides excellent services by practicing the Boomerang Principle
- Assist guests with finding items they are looking for on or off the sales floor
- Receives, prepares, and fulfills guest orders and other special requests
- Provides excellent guest services by professionally answering Deli Department telephone
- Addresses guest concerns and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product received, if in need further assistance, bring concern to Deli Manager errors, and order complications
- Resourcefully and effectively manages issues related to foot shortages, food preparation errors, and order complications
- Ensures comapny food safety and sanitation prodeures are met at all times
- Knowledge of cooking procedures, kitchen equipment, work surfaces and overall kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
- Maintains food safety logs
- Ensures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

- WI Certified Food Manager License preferred
- Passion for service and uncompromising desire to serve the highest quality of food
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reading and math skills required
- Knowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, merchandising skills, and must be able to make timely and effective decisions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis and push carts of up to 200 pounds
- Full range of upper body motion
- Ability to stand for most of shift
- Ability to handle high stress levels
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures
WORK SCHEDULE
- The Catering Lead is a hourly position
- The shift to be worked will vary, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
